Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11/7/2025

1. Introduction

Contentide ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our AI-powered LinkedIn content generation service.

By using our service, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

We collect personal information you provide directly to us:

  • Email address (required for account creation)
  • Name and profile information
  • Password and authentication credentials
  • Billing information (processed securely through third-party processors)
  • Communication preferences and settings

2.2 Content Information

  • Input prompts and content generation requests
  • Generated LinkedIn posts and content
  • Saved posts and user-created content
  • Usage patterns and content preferences
  • Template selections and customizations

2.3 LinkedIn Integration Data

When you connect your LinkedIn account to enable direct posting, we collect and store:

  • LinkedIn profile information (name, profile picture) for post previews
  • OAuth access tokens (encrypted and securely stored)
  • Token expiration dates and refresh information
  • Connection status and last usage timestamps
  • LinkedIn posting activity logs (for debugging and rate limiting)
  • LinkedIn API interaction data and error logs

🔒 LinkedIn Data Security:

All LinkedIn tokens are encrypted using industry-standard encryption before storage. We only access the minimum required permissions (profile information and post creation) and never read, modify, or delete your existing LinkedIn content.

2.4 Technical Information

  • IP address and location data
  • Browser type and version
  • Device information and operating system
  • Session data and cookies
  • Usage analytics and performance metrics

2.5 Billing and Transaction Data

  • Payment history and transaction records
  • Customer ID and payment methods
  • Usage patterns and service consumption
  • Billing address and tax information
  • Invoice and receipt information

2.6 LinkedIn API Compliance & Your Account Safety

Contentide is committed to 100% LinkedIn platform compliance. We respect LinkedIn's Terms of Service and API usage policies to ensure your account remains safe and secure.

What We DO

  • Use official LinkedIn OAuth for secure authentication
  • Only access authorized API endpoints (profile info, post creation)
  • Follow LinkedIn's rate limits and usage guidelines
  • Request only minimum required permissions (w_member_social)
  • Encrypt and securely store all OAuth tokens
  • Never access or modify your existing LinkedIn content

What We DON'T DO (Unlike Some Competitors)

  • Scrape engagement data (likes, comments, views) - VIOLATES LinkedIn ToS
  • Access unauthorized API endpoints
  • Use automated bots or web scraping techniques
  • Store or analyze your LinkedIn network data
  • Read your LinkedIn messages or connection requests
  • Access your LinkedIn analytics without explicit authorization

Why This Matters:

Many LinkedIn automation tools offer analytics by scraping data in violation of LinkedIn's Terms of Service. This puts YOUR account at risk of suspension or permanent ban. We choose compliance and your safety over risky features. Your professional reputation is too valuable to risk.

No Analytics Data Collection: Contentide does not collect, store, or analyze engagement metrics (likes, comments, shares, impressions) from your LinkedIn posts because LinkedIn's public API does not provide this data for personal profiles. Any tool claiming to offer this feature for personal profiles is using unauthorized methods that violate platform policies.
